The data submission files for 4th AIAA High Lift Prediction Workshop (HLPW4), as requested by the workshop committee, are provided in this directory. The geometry under consideration is the CRM High Lift configuration. This is an open geometry that is available for download at the following location: https://hiliftpw.larc.nasa.gov/Workshop4/geometries.html Each directory corresponds to a unique data set that is being submitted, where each directory provides alpha sweeps for a single grid level. The R-015.1_Bozeman_USM3D_SA-neg_Dgrid_BESTPRACTICE directory corresponds to the results produced on the finest grid level and includes results for the flap deflection study, the grid refinement study, and an angle of attack sweep. The other three submissions (R-015.2, R-015.3, and R-015.4) only contain results for the angle of attack sweeps for a single grid level (case 2a). Inside the directories, you will find data files with the requested data that was extracted from our USM3D mixed element solutions. Note that all files and directories contain the prefix R-015, which is our participant ID. Additionally, the files contain a .1, .2, .3, or .4 following the R-015 prefix as an identifier for the four unique data sets that are being submitted. The files are described below: R-015.*_case1a_flapdeflection_cpcf.dat This file contains pressure coefficient and skin friction data extracted at various stations along the wing for the fine grid (D-level) and each of the three flap deflection cases. R-015.*_case1a_flapdeflection_FM.dat This file contains the resulting force and moment coefficients for the fine grid (D-level) and each of the three flap deflection cases. R-015.*_case1a_flapdeflection_iterative.dat This file contains the CL, mean flow residual, and turbulence residual iterative histories for the fine grid (D-level) and each of the three flap deflection cases. R-015.*_case1a_flapdeflection_velocity.dat This file contains velocity profile data extracted at various stations along the wing for the fine grid (D-level) and each of the three flap deflection cases. R-015.*_case1b_gridconvergence_cpcf.dat This file contains pressure coefficient and skin friction data extracted at various stations along the wing for each of the four grid refinements. R-015.*_case1b_gridconvergence_FM.dat This file contains the resulting force and moment coefficients for each of the four grid refinements. R-015.*_case2a_CLmax_freeair_velocity.dat This file contains velocity profile data extracted at various stations along the wing for four angles of attack. R-015.*_participant_info.dat This file contains general information about the participants, solver, and grids. It also includes CPU timing information for a selected solution. Additionally, the directory R-015.1_Bozeman_USM3D_SA-neg_Dgrid_BESTPRACTICE contains the results of a turbulence model verification study that was requested by the committee. The geometry for this case is the 2D Multi-Element Airfoil, which is available at the following location: https://turbmodels.larc.nasa.gov/multielementverif.html The results of the turbulence model verification study described above are provided in the following files: R-015.1_case3_verification_cp_cfx.dat This file contains pressure coefficient and skin friction data extracted along the chord for each of the seven grid refinements provided. R-015.1_case3_verification_forces.dat This file contains the force and moment coefficients for each of the seven grid refinements provided. R-015.1_case3_verification_profiles.dat This file contains velocity and viscosity profiles extracted at specified axial locations along the chord for each of the seven grid refinements provided. Finally, the R-015.1_Bozeman_USM3D_SA-neg_Dgrid_BESTPRACTICE directory contains sub-directories R-015.1_SurfaceFlowVisualizations and R-015.1_OffBodyVorticity, which contains skin friction contours, streamline images, and off-body vorticity contours that were produced using provided Tecplot macros. These images are provided for the fine grid (D-level) at four angles of attack for the nominal flap deflection and at the two off-nominal flap deflection cases at an angle of attack of 7.05 degrees.
